Zero-G Bowling
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
ZERO-G BOWLING
Grab orbiting planets. Throw them at pins.
You are in space.
Built for the Conduit Festival Game Jam 2026
The vision is that you would run this at an arcade, alongside traditional arcade machines/bowling lanes but you only need a laptop, a TV and a webcam to run a permanent installation. Maybe coin entry to play rounds? Though I didn't implement that for this build. Any interested arcades, hit me up!
Behind the Tech
Behind the Tech: AI-Powered Tractor Beams
Zero-G Bowling runs on a standalone Unity plugin for the MediaPipe framework. Using it the game transforms your standard webcam into an AR motion controller without requiring expensive depth sensors or VR headsets, though VR support is included.
Gesture Recognition: Tractor Beam
- Webcam: Open hand rest position. Close Fist to grab the planet.
- VR Headset: Standard 6DOF tracking. Grip Trigger to grab.

I don't have a VR headset to test with currently, but I'm waiting to borrow one! Apologies if the VR doesn't work yet - it will at some point soon!
